As the sea heats up it will expands. And as the ocean is over 4500 metres deep a little expansion goes a long way. It has risen 5 centimetres in the last 100 years and is expected to rise another 4 centimetres in the next 20 years. With CO2 doubling it will eventually expand by around 1.9 metres.
